Vishalakshi is an emerging retail brand under Shri Creations, specializing in premium women’s ethnic wear such as sarees, kurtis, lehengas, and suits. Rooted in the rich heritage of Banarasi handwork, the brand aims to deliver authenticity, craftsmanship, and elegance to modern Indian consumers.
Vishalakshi, a Shri Creations product, approached us to design a brand identity that reflects elegance, tradition, and premium craftsmanship rooted in Banarasi culture. The brand specializes in sarees, kurtis, lehengas, and suits, with a strong emphasis on handwoven Banarasi textiles. As the business expanded from offline retail to a broader online and offline presence across Banaras and Lucknow, a strong and versatile brand identity became essential.
We began by understanding the emotional and cultural depth of the brand. Vishalakshi needed a logo that resonates with femininity, grace, and heritage while still appealing to modern buyers. Multiple concepts were explored, ranging from minimal typographic treatments to stylized traditional forms.
With an already established offline presence, the client’s next strategic move was expansion into digital and multi-city retail markets, particularly targeting Banaras and Lucknow.
The final direction focused on a refined typographic identity paired with subtle elegance. The chosen design balances luxury and simplicity, making it adaptable across packaging, social media, storefronts, and e-commerce platforms. The typography reflects sophistication while maintaining readability, ensuring the brand feels premium yet approachable.
We also explored variations and font treatments during the design process to give the client flexibility and clarity in decision-making. The finalized logo stands out with its graceful letterforms and clean composition, reinforcing Vishalakshi’s identity as a culturally rooted yet contemporary fashion label.

The challenge was to design a logo that balances traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary minimalism, avoiding clichés while still feeling culturally rooted.
